This is the first doll owned by the school.īarney and Friends " Hop to It!" and " Going Places!" The pupils are larger, though it lacks eyelids. While it still lacks yellow toes, most of Barney's characteristics are spot on.

The Barney doll shown here is more accurate to the costumed Barney. The 3rd version, which was used in Rock with Barney and given to Fan Club members, is similar to the 2nd edition except it doesn't have a white strip representing Barney's smile, nor visible nostrils. The 2nd version appears in Barney Goes to School, is a little bit smaller, the smile is a lot skinnier, and his head is more of a hexagonal shape, matching his costume counterpart. With a thick white smile and smaller eyes, this doll is the biggest out of the 3 versions. The 1st one is a darker shade of purple and appears in the intro of the BYG videos and Campfire Sing-Along. Unlike the first doll, he only has 5 spots on his back.ģ versions of this doll appear in different episodes. In addition to the wide width, the doll has no toes and lacks the thumb the costume has, is purple, and has a white strip for a mouth. This later BYG Barney doll is more of a plush toy than the previous one. This doll was owned by Michael and Amy.īarney & the Backyard Gang (last three videos) Also, unlike later dolls, this one has eyelashes and is able to wink with one of his eyes. His spot pattern on his back is exactly like it is when he comes to life. The mouth is a red strip of felt, shaped like a smile. This plush has green soles on the bottom of the feet, based off of the soles on the Barney costume (though in a different color). This is the first Barney doll ever used in the series, with a much more dinosaur-like appearance. Barney & the Backyard Gang (first three videos)
